today we are going to talk about how to install wafer type butterfly valve:

Wafer type butterfly valve installation instruction and steps:

1. place the wafer type butterfly valve between the two pre install flanges, the bolt holes on the valve body should align with the bolt holes on that two flanges;

2. Gently insert the four pairs of bolts and nuts into the flanges holes on the wafer type butterfly valve, tighten the nuts slightly to correct the flatness of the flange surface;

3. Fix the two flanges on the pipe by spot welding;

4. Remove out the wafer type butterfly valve;

5. Weld the two flanges completely on the pipe;

6. Install the wafer type butterfly valve after the welded part has cooled down. Ensure that the wafer type butterfly valve has enough space for movement between the flanges to prevent the butterfly valve from being damaged, and ensure that the valve plate has certain opening and closing space;

7. Correct the position of the wafer type butterfly valve and then tighten that four pairs of bolts( not to over tighten);

8. Turn the wafer butterfly valve open to ensure that the valve disc can be opened and closed freely, and then keep the valve disc in slightly open state;

9. Tighten all nuts in a cross-balanced manner;
