WRAS, Water Regulations Advisory Scheme, is the certification of drinking water safety in the UK.

WRAS is the UK water industry’s certification scheme whereby products recognized by this scheme demonstrate compliance with the requirements of the Water Supply Systems(Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and its amendments.

The main objective of WRAS is to avoid water of water, misuse of water, abuse of water, inappropriate consumption of water, incorrect measurement or contamination in water.

WRAS certification is a must for the soft sealing butterfly valve to enter the UK market. Although it is not mandatory, it is already a practice.
