Brief introduction of soft seal gate valve:
The soft sealed gate valve(also known as resilient seat gate valve) is the most used industrial valve for water series pipelines. The opening and closing part of the soft seal gate valve is the disc, and the movement direction of the disc of the gate valve is perpendicular to the direction of the fluid. The gate valve can only be fully opened and fully closed, and can not be used to regulate the flow and throttle. The soft seal gate valve can be divided into rising stem soft seal gate valve and non rising stem soft seal gate valve. The nominal diameter of soft seal gate valve can be DN50-DN1200, and its operating temperature is ≤80℃.
What are the components of soft seal gate valve:
The soft-sealed gate valve consists of valve body, bonnet, valve stem, rubber disc, stem nut, gasket, packing, O type ring, gland, bracket, hand wheel, bolt and nut;
Structural characteristics of soft seal gate valve:
1. the valve trim in the soft sealing gate valve is overall rubber coated:
The inside and outside of the ductile iron skeleton is covered with high performance rubber through vulcanization technology. The connect is tight and reliable, the geometric size is accurate, and the sealing elasticity is good. The rubber coated completely isolates the valve core metal from the fluid, which is resistant to corrosion;
2. the resilient seated gate valve has integrated brass nut:
The brass nut of the valve trim and the ductile cast iron skeleton are tightly connected by a special process to prolong the service life and avoid the control failure of the gate valve;
3. the resilient seated gate valve has flat type valve seat:
The bottom of the resilient seated gate valve adopts a full flow straight through design, which is equivalent to a straight pipeline, and is not easy to accumulate debris, ensuring reliable sealing and unobstructed fluid flow;
4. the resilient seated gate valve has self sealing bonnet:
The connect between the valve body and the bonnet is designed with a self sealing structure. Within the pressure range, the higher the fluid pressure is, the tighter the seal is;
5. Special upper sealing:
The upper sealing structure between the valve stem and the bonnet adopts the design of three O-shaped sealing rings. Compared with packing sealing structure of the traditional gate valve, this channel sealing is tight and the friction resistance is greatly reduced, which can also lock and fix the valve stem safely, to make sure during the operation and maintenance, the valve stem will not be flushed out by pressure to avoid personal injury.
6. soft sealing gate valve has lightweight structure:
The compact structure of the resilient seated gate valve reduces the working height by more than 60mm-300mm compared with the traditional gate valve, and saving engineering space; the body of the resilient seat gate valve is made of ductile iron material, and the weight is reduced by about 20%-30% compared with traditional gate valve, and the resilient seated gate valve is convenient to install and maintain;
7. the resilient seated gate valve can reach food grade hygiene requirements:
The inside of the valve body is coated with non toxic epoxy resin, and the inner and outer surfaces of the valve trim are completely covered with rubber, so there will be no rust or corrosion. The resilient seated gate valve can be directly used in drinking water systems, food and medicine industries;
