Working principle and maintenance of pneumatic butterfly valve-Belo Valve

Pneumatic butterfly valve refers to a butterfly valve whose operating device is a pneumatic actuator. With different end connection, there are pneumatic concentric wafer butterfly valve, pneumatic concentric flange butterfly valve. 

As a control component on industrial production pipelines, pneumatic wafer butterfly valve is an automatic control valve which does not require manual operation; therefore, pneumatic butterfly valves are usually used in environments that are not suitable for manual operation. Pneumatic butterfly valves are also widely used in petroleum, chemical, electric power, metallurgy and other industries. 

Working principle of pneumatic butterfly valve: 

Pneumatic wafer butterfly valve absorbs dry and lubricated gas through positioner,solenoid valves and other equipment, and then transmits these gases to the cylinder of the pneumatic actuator to form the air source of the pneumatic actuator. When the air source in the cylinder is transmitted to the air chamber of the pneumatic actuator, the thrust generated by the air pressing on the piston drives the output shaft to rotate, and at the same time drives the valve stem and valve disc to rotate, thus completing the opening and closing action of the butterfly valve. Adding a valve positioner to the pneumatic wafer butterfly valve can also realize the precise opening adjustment of the butterfly valve. In addition, the intelligent positioner can also be connected with the field main wire, so as to achieve the purpose of detecting the working status of the pneumatic wafer butterfly valve and providing diagnosis. 

Maintenance for the cylinder of pneumatic wafer butterfly valve: 

The cylinder in the pneumatic actuator of the pneumatic wafer butterfly valve should be cleaned regularly, and the clamping spring of the cylinder shaft should be lubricated regularly. Every half year, the cylinder head cover should be opened and the cylinder should be checked where there is debris, water and grease in the cylinder block of the pneumatic wafer butterfly valve. If grease is found to be missing, disassemble the cylinder, clean it thoroughly, and add grease. 

Maintenance for the valve body of the pneumatic wafer butterfly valve: 

The valve body of the pneumatic wafer butterfly valve should be checked each half month, one time period cycle should be around six month. Check whether the appearance of the valve body of the pneumatic wafer butterfly valve is good, whether the flange ends connected with the pipeline are leaking, whether the sealing performance of the sealing surface of the pneumatic butterfly valve is good, whether there is wear on the valve body, whether the disc rotation is flexible, whether the pneumatic butterfly valve is stuck by foreign objects; any problem occurs, the maintenance and replacement should be done timely.
