What is swing type check valve? 

Swing type check valve is one of widely used check valves, which only allows the medium to flow in one direction. swing type check valve is also known as swing check valve, non return valve, one way valve, back pressure, cut off valve.

The structure of swing type check valve is shown in the figure.

And its top part is the bonnet. The bonnet is fastened to the body by a series of bolts on the edge, sealed with gasket, and there is a bolt in the center of the bonnet for mounting a pressure gauge or venting the valve. 

The gasket is used to seal the gap between the valve body and bonnet and is made of a relatively soft material, like rubber. 

The valve seat is where the valve body meets the valve disc, which separates the inlet and outlet of the check valve. 

The main body of the valve disc is a circular metal plate, which is connected with the valve body through a hinge mechanism to realize one-way passage of the fluid. 

The swing check valve ends have two flanges which can be bolted or welded directly to the pipe. Both ends of the flanges are also sealed with gaskets.
